Before taking a paper scrap, it is important to set up a sorting station.

You just want to have a room where you can easily see and sort papers before you. Even a clean floor works in a pinch.
We will create three wide sorting categories so that they can process papers most efficiently as possible. You will sort papers in one of these three categories; no more and no less. Grab a marker or pen and some index cards or a piece of paper cards and write each of the following words to three separate index cards or paper slide:
Elements to be thrown away go into the paper basket / recycling stack, stacking items will go to the file clusters, and articles that need more research or leg work will go into the action stack.
Okay, it's time to sort! Place the three index cards in front of you and round up your paper stack. Start through every piece of paper to go through, one after another, works as soon as possible, and sort it in one of the three categories defined above.
Remember the idea is to sort article quickly. Avoid working on one of the items before you. This is not the time, for example, to find out if an invoice was paid, your RSVP prepared for the wedding of your friend or check the status of your chemical cleaning. Do not rethink any things, simply focus on sorting elements in the three categories.
Chances are that they immediately recognize certain items, what they are, garbage, papers to be submitted, and so on. Other articles can rather represent a challenge if you try to decrypt records or information bits. If this is the case, just put the item in your action stack and continue sorting.
After making elements successfully in the three categories, it is time to attack them one after the other. Trash or recycle all documents and make you ready to deal with the file and action stacks.
